Dr. John McManus is a well known military historian, author, and Curators’ Distinguished Professor of U.S. military history at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He has also was in residence at the U.S. Naval Academy as the Leo A. Shifrin Chair of Naval and Military History, a distinguished visiting professorship. He has published 13 successful books about various military feats, including WWII and the Alamo. Dr. McManus is also very good at speaking having appeared on more than 10 well-known media companies. Even though he found himself in advertising and sports broadcasting, he changed his tune and decided to focus on a academic and literary profession. Well known throughout the U.S., John McManus strives to inform everyone about the truth of many amazing, military feats in an exciting way.
