He has recently taken up a job as the deputy director for public health service and implementation science for the CDC and he will be relieving his position in AR. Some of Dr. Smith’s hobbies include eating Papa John’s Pizza, long distance running, and listening to rock and christian music. He has been advising Governor Asa Hutchinson on the recent coronavirus pandemic, but will be moving to Atlanta in the near future.
